<Their Sheraton> is a composite of multiple images of hotel rooms seen from a far distance, thereby producing the illusion that they were all recorded at the same time. A camera was daily trained on a particular room of the Sheraton Hotel in Taipei before sunset. Through compositing these images, we are given a voyeuristic view into the private moments of these individuals at a public space of a hotel that promises privacy. Opposed to our expectations, however, nothing happens in their private moments and we are left with watching these individuals isolated and severed from each other.
