In “Night Watch”, a video project I made while i was in Taipei, I explored and recorded the moments of loneliness and isolation that are not readily apparent in a modern man. On one of the three projections, individuals eating alone are shown. On the other, a street blind musician playing a harmonica is seen. Then on the last one, a glamorous yet melancholy nightscape of a city illuminated by neon lights is displayed. By recording these moments that often go unnoticed in the busy life of a contemporary city, I peep into the nature of a modern life that persists as the city transforms itself constantly.
